These new regulations are also more encompassing and include workers, employers, employer representatives, trainees, apprentices, interns, and others who are part of the organization in both the private or public sector regardless of their activity. The law now includes requirements for occupational physicians and certifications for employees. Even if there is just one employee, they must now be certified in occupational health and safety.
  • Security and Confidentiality: Due to the fragmented nature of this area of legislation There are several applicable rules and practices that must be considered. Such items include the protection of the employees and employers human rights, and the confidentiality of information such as wages.  
  • HR Policies: Things such as weekly working hours, the use of leave, over time, and other HR related issues that are all covered under legislation in Turkey. The unıque nature of the rules and regulations governing HR policies can be difficult for foreign companies to navigate, these difficulties can sometimes result in wrongful terminations which can be very damaging to the company.
